Along the road R480 there is also Caherconnell Stone Fort, an ancient Celtic Ring Fort. Poulawack is near the Fort, were found the remains of sixteen people inside the multiple Cist cairn at Poulawack. A cist is small stone-built used to hold the bodies of the dead during Bronze Age. .. see more
Near the junction between R480 and R476 there are ruins of church of Carran and Leamanagh Castle built in 1490, famous for the legend of Maire Rua who killed the husband. The castle and the church lie on private properties, is possible see them only from the roadside... see more

Lungo la R480 c`è anche Caherconnell Stone Fort, un antico forte a anello Celtico. Poulawack è vicino al forte, sono stati trovati i resti di sedici persone nelle Cist di Poulawack. Una Cist è una piccola costruzione di pietra usata per mettere i corpi dei morti durante l`età del Bronzo. .. vedi
Alla fine della R480 in prossimità dell`incrocio con la R476 ci sono le rovine della chiesa di Carrai e il castello Leamanagh del 1490 famoso per la tenebrosa leggenda di Marie Rua che uccise il marito. Castello e chiesa sono situati in proprietà private e si possono vedere solo dalla strada... vedi
Kilfenora è un paese nel sud del Burren, è famoso per le High Crosses (croci alte). La cattedrale di Kilfenora fu costruita nel 1189 vicino ai resti del Monastero di St. Fachtna bruciato nel 1055... vedi
