With its 594.180 kmq (227,760 sq. miles), Madagascar is the worlds fourth largest island. Its territory, in the Southern Hemisphere, has really different climatic and physical features and a extraordinary flora: about 12.000 species of plants and flowers. The Fauna is rich in endemic species (that is, they occur only here); the best known exotic creatures are the lemurs and camaleons which can be easily seen in natural parks.

Con in suoi 594.180 kmq il Madagascar è la quarta isola più grande del mondo. il suo territorio, nell`emisfero Meridionale, ha caratteristiche fisiche e climatiche molto differenti, con una flora straordinaria: circa 12.000 specie di piante e fiori. Scendendo dalla cima si passa in un piccolo villaggio. Qui vive un vecchio uomo con le sue tre mogli e `non-so-quanti` figli !!.. vedi
Vicino al villaggio di Nosy Komba c`è un antico marchingegno. Per più di 50 anni questi uomini hanno lavorato con questa macchina primitiva. Tagliano le canne da zucchero in piccoli pezzi che schiacciano sotto un enorme tronco mosso mano. Da qui ottengono un succo dolcissimo, usato per preparare il rum... vedi
Scendendo, siamo passati in un grande villaggio, pieno di bambini sorridenti. I ragazzi giocano a calcio ovunque… perfino senza un vero e proprio campo. Nosy Komba resta imressa... vedi
