Riviera Maya is a tourism district of Yucatan Peninsula Mexico. Coba (Cobá) Nohoch Mul Pyramid is the tallest structure in north Yucatan (42m), was built on the top of a natural elevation. Nohoch Mul coming from the Maya nohoch meaning big, and mul meaning mound. Cenotes Dos Ojos or Cenote Dos Ojos (Dos Ojos Cavern) is a diving cave near Playa del Carmen. Main caves of the Cenote Park are the Ojo Uno and the Ojo Dos (means first and second eye), they’re two big twin circular holes in the ground (view from satellite seems like two eyes). La piramide Maya Nohoch Mul di Coba (Cobá) è la struttura più alta nel nord dello Yucatan (42m), fu costruita sul colmo di un`altura naturale. Nohoch Mul viene dal Maya nohoch che significa grande, e mul che significa altura. E` composta da sette corpi con angoli arrotondati e due scalinate sul lato sud. Cenotes Dos Ojos o Cenote Dos Ojos (Grotta Dos Ojos) è una sistema di grotte sommerse vicino a Playa del Carmen. Le principali grotte del Cenote Park sono il Ojo Uno e il Ojo Dos (significa occhio uno e due), si tratta di due enormi buchi gemelli circolari nel terreno (la vista dal satellite evidenzia la somiglianza a due occhi). Il Ojo Dos (il secondo occhio) è collegato al Ojo Uno (il primo) attraverso un tunnel subacqueo, la traversata richiede le bombole. C`è un lago anche nel secondo occhio. La temperatura dell`acqua per fare snorkeling o immersioni è circa 24° tutto l`anno... vedi
La Bat Cave (grotta dei pipistrelli) è collegata al Ojo Uno (il primo occhio) attraverso un breve tunnel semi sommerso (15m) che richiede maschera e boccaglio. C`è anche una scala metallica che scende nelle viscere della stupenda Bat Cave... vedi
Raggiungere il Dos Ojos Cenote Park è facile, l`entrata è situata lungo la super strada highway 307 del Quintana Roo che collega Playa del Carmen a Tulum.
